Kickstarter – is an American public-benefit corporation based in Brooklyn, New York, that maintains a global crowdfunding platform focused on creativity and merchandising. The company’s stated mission is to “help bring creative projects to life”. Kickstarter has reportedly received more than $1.9 billion in pledges from 9.4 million backers to fund 257,000 creative projects, such as films, music, stage shows, comics, journalism, video games, technology and food-related projects.
People who back Kickstarter projects are offered tangible rewards or experiences in exchange for their pledges. This model traces its roots to the subscription model of arts patronage, where artists would go directly to their audiences to fund their work.
Today is the DAY. The day we launch our Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for Absolutism.
Our first game, Absolutism, is now officially on the market. It will be a few months still until it hits the shelves, as we hope to gather enough money through this campaign to produce it.
PLEASE GO AND BUY IT on Kickstarter. You’ll see there we have several levels of pledges, so you can choose which one fits your budget and your dictatorial personality better.
Meantime, we will be hard at work, developing our next game, Carami. So, please, take into consideration that by buying Absolutism in our first campaign, you’re not making only Absolutism a reality, but the future games of GAFA as well.
Uncle GAFA thanks you!
Absolutism — A funny card game for people without shame.
