Speculative Fiction Writer

Costi Gurgu is an award-winning fantasy, horror, and science fiction writer. His novel RecipeArium, launched in 2017 by White Cat Publications, has won the Nemira, Vladimir Colin and Atelier Kult Awards. Costi has further developed the RecipeArium world in the story Secret Recipes, published in the Tesseracts 17 anthology. He has won 24 awards for his fiction be it prose or screenwriting.

Creative Director

In his alternate life, Costi is a Creative Director / Illustrator. He has been the Creative Director of publications like Playboy Magazine, Madame Figaro (French fashion magazine), and Tabu (life-style women magazine) and has co-created the graphic concepts for several other brands, such as Canadian Investment Guide Magazine and ETF Guide Magazine. He also designs and illustrates magazine and book covers, winning the Portfolio Award and being twice nominated for the Aurora Awards for his illustrations.

VALI GURGU

UX Despot

Vali is in charge of the game development as well as the right visual presentation for alien tastes. She’s been schooled at the Visual Arts Galactic College of Tau-Ceti. When she’s doing usability testing her first task is to discern the aliens’ behind from their face. She’s been several times in the situation of talking to their behinds and we had to mend the diplomatic relations afterward.

Vali is an Art Director / UX Designer / Photographer. She has been the Art Director of Playboy Magazine, Tabu (lifestyle women magazine), IE Newspaper, CIG Magazine, and ETF Guide Magazine. She is an award-winning photographer, passionate about science fiction and horror movies and games. And she snacks a lot; she never stops. In small circles, she’s called the Desert Queen.

Secretary to the Absolutism Propaganda Minister

Games for Aliens needed a Secretary to manage social media, alternative news, and accomplishing the agricultural production targets set by the Party. No matter the form of despotism, dictatorship, authoritarianism, shogunate, totalitarianism, autarchy, or autocracy, he’ll control the population with his propaganda strategies. He also likes long walks on an imaginary beach.

Emanuel (or Manu for the enemies of his enemies) likes digital projects, start-ups, writing science fiction, and permission blockchains. He has all those three-letters professional tags – MBA, PMP, LAW, ScM – and the experience to back them up. Most of his projects are in the area of online project management, social media, and software development, but he cannot resist being part of making witty and funny tabletop games.
